Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a process where, by talking to a professional about how you’re feeling, you can work out, and change, the things that cause you distress.
Psychotherapy is a therapy for people who feel that they have an emotional or mental health issue. It is a talk therapy and with successful psychotherapy, a client changes in a positive way, resolving or mitigating troublesome behaviours, beliefs, compulsions, thoughts, or emotions. Ideally, these are replaced with more pleasant and functional alternatives, so the client can move into a happier place in their life.
In a modern chaotic life, Psychotherapy offers space for a person to explore their feelings and to bring about lasting change.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Emotional wellbeing is essential for a happier existence; at times in life we all feel that we could do with a listening ear.
- It is a space for you to talk and feel heard.
- It helps you to get to know your deepest feelings and have a better understanding of why you may feel emotionally unsettled.
- With a new awareness you are able to heal and move forward.
- It helps you formulate a plan for the future and supports you putting your new way of life into practice whether it’s business, home , relationships or a personal plan.
- Simply make an appointment with a therapist of choice and come for an initial meeting to see if you are comfortable going forward together.
- The number of sessions is up to you but the average is 8-12 sessions. You can of course have as many or as few as you want or need.
